Hey Everyone!
Im Karlie, the sole owner and operator of Elevate Equine Massage Therapy. Growing up on a horse farm I was fortunate to spend countless hours in the barn, in the saddle, and simply being around horses. From a young age I knew I wanted to work with horses, I just wasn’t sure what that might look like.
After high school, I attended St. Lawrence College and spent over a year in the Veterinary Technology program before realizing that path wasn’t the right fit for me. Though unsure of my next step, I knew one thing for certain, my career would still involve animals.
Through years of working, gaining both rewarding and challenging experiences, and navigating life (including lockdowns!), I decided to revisit something that had intrigued me years before, equine massage therapy. I packed my things and moved to London, Ontario, to enroll in the only Equine Massage Therapy program in North America that allows graduates to become registered with the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists (IFREMT).
I successfully completed both the two-year Equine Massage Therapy program at triOS College with honours, and the registration exams. Today, I’m proud to offer specialized massage therapy to all horses ensuring they perform at their best physically and mentally!
When Im not travelling around from client to client you can find me on the road with Cranberry Creek Equine Veterinary Services 3 days a week as an assistant, learning all that I can about these fantastic animals!
